ALINA GRANADOS

ALINA GRANADOS (A Coruña, 1966)

Artist who faces an eminently physical creative process, in which her hands are the only brushes she uses.

Her work has a markedly experimental intention, showing a strong influence of the American abstraction and the English and German romantic painting, drinking from the work of artists such as William Turner, Caspar David Fiedrich, Mark Rothko or Jackson Pollck, among others, emerges when she stands in front of a white canvas, in a spontaneous way, without any previous sketches, feeling how her hands spread and accumulate paint and matter, which in some works she removes little by little using oils and lyes, as if it were an archaeologist?s work, leaving visible in what she is really interested.

Alina Granados, graduated in Hispanic and Galician-Portuguese Philoly and specializad in Volume Techniques at the Pablo Picasso Art School in A Coruña, she collaborates writing about art in the magazine ?Anatomía de la Historia?, while she keeps her own blog ?Comprenderelarte?.
