ANA PÉREZ VENTURA (Santiago de Compostela, 1981)
I investigate the relationship between time and space according to repetition strategies. I am interested in the confrontation between an objective framework (the time marked on a clock, a certain space, a music scale?) and a subjective one of the lived time (through the gesture, the voice, the traces?). I want to make an organic register of the passage of time. I am interested in the different variations that inevitably occur at each repetition. My work over time has its roots in my musical live. As a pianist and performer, I continuously translate the signs of the partiture into a choreography of movements on the keyboard that create the sound. The repetition of gestures is something inherent to the pianist?s work routine.
